How Flippy went from a frustration to a Playtime Library.
I built Flippy because I could not find what I needed as a parent. I wanted quality, flexibility, and trust — all in one place. So I built it.
Ayesha N Mirza
Founder, Flippy
Ayesha N Mirza is an engineer and a mother. Like every parent, she watched the same thing happen in her home over and over. A toy arrives. The child is excited. Two weeks later it is forgotten. Another arrives. Then another. The home fills up. The spending continues. The overwhelm grows. As someone who thinks in systems, she did not just feel the frustration — she started pulling it apart. Why does this keep happening? Why is there no better solution for families?
Before building anything, Ayesha spent months researching what already existed. She explored each available option carefully. What existed then were Toy subscription boxes and monthly toy boxes — these were pre-selected, did not offer parental control and did not provide flexibility. Libraries exist for books. Rental platforms for baby gear and some toys. None of these were truly designed around the needs of a family and did not offer curated options. UAE Families want quality, flexibility, and trust together in one place. That combination did not exist. The gap was clear.
Flippy was designed from scratch as a structured Playtime Library — not a rental shop, not a subscription box. Families can pick what they want from a curated library, play with it at home, and swap it whenever their child is ready for something new. Every item is carefully chosen for its developmental value, safety, and durability. Every item is cleaned, sanitized, and UV-treated before it reaches the next family. The Pick, Play, Swap model was not borrowed from anyone, but it was engineered to solve the exact problem that started it all.
